Wednesday 8th August 2012 marks the anniversary of the London riots. Flautist Carla Rees lost everything in the fire that destroyed her home, including her instruments and all her music. She has spent the last year working to rebuild both her life and her work, and in particular trying to track down the 650+ scores of unpublished works that were written for her and her ensemble, rarescale.
To mark the anniversary, she wanted to do something positive which looks forward rather than back, and we are very pleased to announce the launch of her new publishing company, Tetractys Publishing, specialising in music for low flutes. You can find her editions on our website - on the Advanced Search page, select Tetractys Publishing from the Publisher drop-down menu and hit the Search button.
