The most famous of arias from the final act of Turandot. It is sung by Calaf, il principe ignoto (the unknown prince), who falls in love with the beautiful but cold Princess Turandot. However, any man who wishes to wed Turandot must first answer her three riddles if he fails, he will be beheaded.
This arrangement of Nessun Dorma can be played with a single Tenor soloist (Tenor 1) with Tenor 2 and Tenor 3 playing the non-solo parts, or by three Tenor soloists with an additional Alto (Alto 4) and an additional Baritone (Baritone 1) covering the non-solo parts. The percussion is optional but preferable.
